OUR STORY

CATTLEYA was born in November 2025 in Sydney, Australia, but its roots have always been in Colombia.

I am Colombian, a mother, a woman and a migrant. For many years, I dreamed of creating a brand of my own. I have always loved fashion, the ocean, sunshine, travel, and that beautiful feeling a woman experiences when she wears something that makes her feel confident, feminine and free.

But it was far from home that this dream finally began to take shape.

Migration taught me that starting over requires much more than courage. It means learning to live within a different culture, in another language, far away from the people you love. It means adapting, falling, rebuilding and discovering parts of yourself you may never have known otherwise.

Australia taught me resilience. It taught me to trust myself, to be patient, disciplined and consistent. It showed me how much a woman can grow when she chooses to keep moving forward, even when life suddenly changes direction.

And somewhere within that journey, CATTLEYA was born.

Not because the road was perfect, but precisely because it wasn’t.

Building a brand from the ground up in a country that was not my own has been one of the greatest challenges of my life, but also one of the most beautiful. Every difficult moment has reminded me why I started, and every small achievement has shown me that dreams are built one step at a time.

The name CATTLEYA comes from one of Colombia’s most iconic flowers: the Cattleya orchid.

To me, a woman is much like a flower. She can be delicate and powerful at the same time. She flourishes with love, care and light, yet she also carries an extraordinary ability to adapt, transform and bloom again.

That is the CATTLEYA woman.

A woman who can begin again.
A woman who reinvents herself.
A woman who loves life deeply.
A woman who is sensual, free, strong and feminine.
A woman who wears her story with pride.

Our soul is also deeply connected to Latin America — to our colours, our joy, our sensuality, our connection with nature and our unmistakable way of celebrating life.

The ocean, the sand, the sun, flowers and the landscapes we discover while travelling all belong to the CATTLEYA universe. That is why, for us, every collection is a new journey, and every journey tells a new story.

Because we never return from a journey exactly as we were before.

We discover new places, cultures and people — but we also discover new versions of ourselves.

That is the CATTLEYA woman: always growing, discovering, living and reinventing herself.

CATTLEYA also carries a deeply personal meaning for me as a mother. I am building something that goes far beyond a business. I am creating a story for my daughter, for our future, and a reminder that our dreams can become something real when we are brave enough to work for them.

I want her to look at this brand one day and know that it was created by a woman who decided to try.

A woman who left Colombia in search of new opportunities, who began again far from home and who continued building even when the journey became difficult.

That is why CATTLEYA is more than swimwear.

It is Colombia and Australia.
